Tom
DIRECTOR
Tom began his journey with Trax in September 2004 as a sales assistant/engineer and has since ascended to the role of company director. He takes great pleasure in his work at Trax, often greeting both new and regular customers with a warm cup of tea or coffee while engaging in conversations about current affairs.
He thrives on the diverse set of challenges presented to him, devising solutions by drawing upon the extensive skills he developed through apprenticeship training, work-based learning, and his varied background in industries such as car manufacturing, commercial and agricultural vehicle engineering, hydraulics, welding, fabrication, as well as sales and retail.
Raised on a local farm, Tom gained comprehensive knowledge in farming and agriculture, providing him with valuable insights into the needs of his agricultural clients. Having parents who ran their own business, he understood early on the significance of delivering a service that is not only quality-driven and reliable but also friendly and cost-effective. This philosophy is something he fervently embeds within Trax, as it holds immense importance to him.
Petya
Accounts/Administrator
Petya joined Trax in April 2016 to provide assistance with accounts and credit control in the office. Despite her initial lack of experience, her role in aiding Tom with his office responsibilities enabled her to quickly acquire the essential skills needed for her position, which she officially took on in April 2018.
Petya now works consistently in the office, handling a variety of enquiries and tasks, and she is eager to continue her rewarding career at Trax Hydraulics.
Jeff
Workshop Manager/Head Engineer
Jeff has been a dedicated member of the Trax team for eight years, beginning his journey as a motorcycle engineer and continuously expanding his expertise. His acquaintance with Tom spans seven years, encompassing professional collaborations and various business interactions.
Tom recognized Jeff’s potential and offered him a role to work closely with him. Together, they have leveraged their collective engineering knowledge to delve into different facets of the company’s engineering department, constantly seeking innovative approaches within the field.
Jeff’s meticulous attention to detail and profound respect for his profession have not only earned him the position of head engineer and workshop manager at Trax but have also significantly contributed to the company’s growth. His ability to attract both longstanding and new customers through his exceptional skills and customer service has been instrumental in enhancing Trax’s reputation.
Moreover, Jeff is an athlete sponsored by Trax, proudly representing the company in triathlons and marathons throughout the country.
Neil
Workshop Engineer
Neil joined Trax in June 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience in working, operating, and maintaining agricultural sprayers. His journey to Trax began while seeking a career change, and his familiarity with the company as a former customer and creator of his own tractor puller, ‘Mischief’, made the transition seamless. As a sponsor of Trax through ‘Mischief’, Neil’s integration into our engineering team was natural and immediate.
At Trax, Neil’s pre-existing knowledge and skill set have proven invaluable, allowing him to quickly and effortlessly adapt to the new engineering challenges presented to him, all the while relishing the fresh opportunities for growth and learning.
Neil’s extensive network within the agricultural community, built through his previous endeavors, has been beneficial in fostering relationships with many of our existing customers. His ability to engage in conversations about the latest agricultural trends, personal experiences, and his achievements in tractor pulling adds a personal touch to our customers’ experiences at Trax.

Chris
Sales Manager
Chris joined Trax in September 2021 as a workshop assistant, initially without prior knowledge in the field. He quickly absorbed the knowledge and skills from his daily tasks, outgrowing his initial role. His proactive approach led him to work at the sales counter, where he embraced additional responsibilities with each new task. This dedication resulted in his rapid ascent to the position of Sales Manager within a year, a role he continues to hold.
In addition to his expanding expertise in hydraulic sales, Chris has cultivated an exceptional rapport with our customer base—a quality that Trax deeply values. He engages every customer with a keen sense of their preferences and a thorough understanding of their needs from Trax.
Chris’s combination of skills, knowledge, and customer relations enables him to effectively lead the sales team. His ability to guide on hose assemblies or identify complex hydraulic components sets a standard for his team to follow, exemplifying his leadership as an effective manager.
Connor
Sales Executive
Connor joined Trax in January 2023, entering the hydraulic field with no prior knowledge. His challenge was to learn quickly and fill the shoes of a retiring staff member, ensuring a seamless transition and setting the stage for a long and prosperous career at Trax.
Six months after his start, when the retiring employee departed, Connor was ready to step up. By then, he had not only met but exceeded his goals, guaranteeing a smooth handover.
Connor’s rapid learning curve allowed him to become a fully-fledged, valued member of the Trax Hydraulics team. His development didn’t stop there; while mastering the sales counter, a role he continues to this day, Connor also took charge of managing Trax’s inventory and bolstering relationships with both new and existing suppliers.
Leveraging his previous IT experience, Connor initiated an independent review of Trax’s digital marketing strategy, leading to the creation of a new company website and laying the groundwork for future advancements.
As Trax grows and evolves, so does Connor’s role within the company. He eagerly anticipates the shared journey ahead with Trax, as they both continue to develop independently and together.
Charlie
Sales Assistant
Charlie joined Trax in May 2024, marking his return to the team where he had previously worked part-time during the Covid-19 pandemic when schools were closed. After the pandemic, Charlie resumed his education, completed his GCSEs, and embarked on an apprenticeship as a vehicle mechanic. With two years of experience in the garage, he seized the opportunity to bring his newfound expertise back to Trax when a position opened up.
Now, as a full-fledged adult member of the Trax team, Charlie’s responsibilities have significantly expanded beyond his earlier tenure. He is currently learning the intricate details of managing the sales counter, a challenging yet rewarding endeavor, and he approaches each day with unparalleled enthusiasm.
Charlie’s role is ever-evolving; from assembling and fitting hydraulic hoses to handling sales of individual parts, his knowledge base is constantly broadening through both collaborative and independent learning. With a bright and promising future at Trax, Charlie is eager to continue his professional growth and contribute to the company’s success.
